Excellent reception and new partners too: HEATEXPO paves the way for sustainable heat supplies
New trade show to offer an overview of innovative technologies and a forum for exhibitors and municipal stakeholders to drive forward the move to renewable heating
Net zero heating and cooling is a key mainstay of the green energy transition. The need for sustainable solutions is occupying minds at municipalities, in business and elsewhere. HEATEXPO, a new trade show for tomorrow's heating, will be held at Messe Dortmund between 21 and 23 November 2023, focusing on sustainable heat generation, innovative technologies and services, and planning municipal heating supplies. This makes it the first key forum bringing together key players from the worlds of political decision-making, academia and real-life practitioners. The German Urban Municipalities' Convention is now on board as a partner.
Dortmund, 1 June 2023 – The inaugural HEATEXPO show at Messe Dortmund between 21 and 23 November 2023 will be the first event offering a business platform for players in the heating sector to come together to advance the development of sustainable, economical and climate-neutral supplies of heating and cooling. The demand for solutions is great – and the various exhibitors from the fields of plant engineering, equipment manufacturing, technology, project development, infrastructure, services and consulting will ensure a comprehensive overview of innovative technologies as well as new products and services for sustainable heating solutions at HEATEXPO – a unique opportunity for municipal decision-makers, energy suppliers, industrial companies and planners to discover the possibilities for future heat planning.
Broad range of exhibitors announced
HEATEXPO is being very well received by the industry, with exhibitors set to include ENGIE Deutschland, whose energy solutions are a by-word for bundled expertise in the transition to net zero across the world. Also in attendance will be Energieanlagen Greifswald GmbH, an international industrial service provider for the process industry, BRUGG Rohrsysteme GmbH, a specialist in the Hanover region for pipeline systems for transporting liquids, gases and heat, Uniper Energy Sales GmbH, an energy supplier from Düsseldorf, and Inopower A/S, a provider of sustainable energy solutions from Denmark. The wide-ranging exhibition will be complemented by a supporting programme featuring keynote talks and discussion panels on the current and future challenges associated with sustainable heat supplies.
Giving municipal decision-makers a valuable overview
The changeover to renewable heating and cooling, and expansion and conversion of heating grids are issues that affect many municipalities in particular. They are faced with important decisions and the need to plan long-term capital investment. Urban heat planning is a crucial foundation for net zero heat supplies, and funding it is one of the key factors in the search for robust, reliable strategies. The Municipal Enterprises Association (VKU) representing the interests of the municipal supply and waste management industry in Germany, focuses particularly on future-proof, sustainable energy and heating solutions – for example using a 10-point plan with which the association is demanding that politicians set the course for further investments in the green energy transition and in the move to renewable heating. Naturally, the VKU will also be assisting with HEATEXPO and will be in attendance in its role as conceptual sponsor.
Also partnering with HEATEXPO is the German Urban Municipalities' Convention. The municipal umbrella organisation of city and town authorities in Germany has primarily municipal interests in mind in terms of the partnership. As the representative of around 3,200 urban municipal authorities, the German Urban Municipalities' Convention will contribute an important perspective to the event: “Provision of net zero energy and efficient infrastructure and transportation networks are key cornerstones of the climate turnaround. Municipalities have an important part to play here, so we're delighted to have a capable and dependable partner on board in the form of the German Urban Municipalities' Convention,” said Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe which owns and operates the Messe Dortmund venue.
The heating equipment and heating supplies show will feature exhibitors showcasing modern technologies, sustainable solutions and bespoke options ranging from municipal heat planning to maintenance, measurement and sensor technologies as well as transmission grids and individual building connections.
